Match Result Sunday 20th August

9 September 2017 No Comment

Despite a wet and windy day we had 10 brave the weather and we fished on Fir Tree pond, but the going was tough. Presentation was difficult in the breezy, southerly wind and the rain all day didn’t help. On a plus note there was another £10 added to the golden peg pot which Roger Baker drew and he literally ran there, but the curse of the golden peg followed him and £68 rolls over to next Sunday. Sadly no photos today as my phone wouldn’t work in the wet, here are the results:

1st Neil Hodder peg 8 38lb
2nd Adrian Holland peg 7 29lb 8oz
3rd John Maundrill peg 15 26lb 3oz
Marc Barden won his section with a double default from peg 2 with 15lb

Thanks to everyone who came and for sitting through some rubbish summer weather. I think a new set of water proofs are top the list for one of my next, must buy’s.
Next Sunday’s open will be on Heron lake, but please book. Also we still have space in our 2 day festival, 23rd and 24th September if you would like to fish please let me know.
