Match Results Sunday 23rd April

Today’s match ended up on Heron Lake as we had to many turn up to peg on Fir tree, which is a nice problem to have! I put peg 1 in today for the first time in a long time, much to some people’s disgust, but with the warm southerly wind blowing in there I had a feeling it could produce today and Adrian Holland didn’t disappoint with a very close ton, here are the results :

Match Results Sunday 16th April 2017

We had a good turn out for today’s open. We fished on Heron Lake and had a close match considering the cold northerly wind blowing down the lake but at least it was dry and sunny. The carp are starting to feed but most are being caught later in the day, here are the results:

Roger fished 8mm pellet to the island and pellet in the margins for most of his catch. Well done Odd Job and thanks to everyone who fished.

Match Results Sunday 9th April 2017

Today’s open was fished on Heron Lake and John Maundrill showed us why he’s been labelled as the venue expert!!!! We had a good turn out and it fished well in the warm, cloudy conditions. I had to leave after the first 30 mins and on returning was told to go and get £100 ready to pay out the bonus, here are the results:

1st John Maundrill peg 17 89lb 9oz
2nd Paul Glanville peg 3 56lb 2oz
3rd Jimmy Crossley peg 5 35lb

John splashed and fed 8mm pellet at 14.5m to the island for most of his catch, well done mate. Thanks to everyone who came.

Round 12 Winter League Results

Today was the final round of our winter league. On heron lake Ricky Dennis and Alex Bradley were both fishing for 1st place overall. Ricky drew peg 11 which didn’t produce the last time he had it and with Alex on peg 9, a peg that usually produces for him the pressure was on! The section on Fir tree pond saw Tony Jose and Roger Baker fishing for 3rd overall and this was really close and came down to weight overall. Good close weights on both lakes today, Here are the results:

Winter League Match Results Round 11

Yesterday was round 11 of our winter league and with 1 left to go it’s now a two horse race for 1st but 3rd spot has opened up with 4 anglers in contention! (See match page for league standings) The cold easterly wind was the deciding factor, with those drawing pegs with some shelter taking the spoils, here are the results :
