Winter League Match Results Round 10

Today was round 10 of our winter league. After a week of milder weather and catches improving through the week I was hoping to see some better weights in today’s match but the strong north westerly wind really made the going difficult for most. Alex Bradley was the exception who sat into the wind all day but caught well!! Here are the results:

Mid Week Knock-Up Result

We had a mid week knock up today on Fir Tree pond. After a hard winter the carp are starting to want a bit of fed and are being caught well on pellet although the last couple of hours were a bit of a struggle. Here’s the result:

Winter League Match Results Round 9

Sunday was winter league match day and Jimmy Crossley has hit some form in peg drawing! Jimmy drew in-form peg 4 on Heron Lake and had a great day despite the wind! I thought Ricky Dennis on peg 11 was a banker but it didn’t produce on the day. Roger Baker saw off all the competition on Fir tree pond after drawing sock-on peg 9!! Here are the results:

Open Match Result Sunday 5th March

Today’s weather sorted the men from the boy’s!!! But as it turned out it was a dry day just a bit blustery. We fished on Heron Lake and I put peg 10 in today for a change and was well chuffed when it was the last peg left in the bag! Despite the strong wind it fished well, here are the results :

1st Neil Hodder peg 10 54lb 14oz
2nd Paul Glanville peg 4 41lb 10oz
3rd Chris Symons peg 9 31lb 4oz

I caught most of my fish down the right hand margin on bread and some smaller fish at 5m in deep water on 6mm pellets.
