Match Result Sunday 22nd January

Today’s open was fished on Heron Lake. Considering the cold weather and that there was a match on there yesterday it fished quite well and we had a close even match. Here are the results:

1st Neil Hodder peg 9 33lb 15oz
2nd Chris Bailey peg 17 30lb 6oz
3rd Ricky Dennis peg 20 25lb 2oz

I caught all my fish dobbing bread down the right hand margin in about 2 foot of water at between 12 and 13 metres.

Nice days fishing with great bunch of lads. Thanks for coming everyone.

Our next match is a winter league match on Fir tree pond and Heron Lake. Both be closed next Sunday.

Round 5 Winter League Match Result

This Sunday just gone was round 5 of our winter league. I missed this one as I was at Goodison park with my son watching the mighty Everton thrash Manchester City 4-0!! Anyway, it turned out to be a good one to miss as the fishing was hard, especially on Fir tree, hear are the results:

Match Result Sunday 8th January 2017

Today’s open match was fished on Fir tree pond, especially for Mike Collinge!! Adrian Holland’s draw arm was still working well and he pulled 15 from the bag. I was happy to have been left with 12, here are the results:

2nd Neil Hodder peg 12 23lb 6oz
3rd Ricky Dennis peg 9 15lb 9oz

Aide fished bread on the bomb and pellet feeder down the right hand edge for most of his fish, well done mate!

Match Result Monday 2nd January 2017

Due to the bank holidays we had an open match on Monday 2nd Jan. We had a good turn out in the fine winter sunshine but it did fish hard after the heavy frost.

Here are the results:

Aide fished 6mm pellet in the left hand margin for most of his fish. Well done mate and thanks to everyone who came.

Christmas Match Results

Wednesday 28th December was our festive Christmas match! We had a good turn out and we served everyone a complimentary bacon roll with a tea or coffee before the start.
With both lakes full it was a shame it fished so hard, oh well that’s winter fishing!
We paid top three on each lake and everyone went home with a prize from a bottle of Jack Daniels, a voucher for West Cornwall Angling, a case of beer, bottles of wine, chocolates, biscuits, to a tub of Haribos! Here’s the results:
