Match Results Sunday 21st August

Sunday’s match was fished on Heron Lake and with the blustery southwestly wind blowing straight into peg 19 I knew this would produce well and when draw bag Alex Bradley drew it we all knew we were fishing for second! Here are the results:

I hate to say it but “Too hot for fishing”

Beautiful day today, but with the hot bright conditions the weights on both lakes were down on what they usually are. We had 14 fishing so pegged 2 sections on both lakes, here are the results:

Heron Lake:
1st John Maundrell peg 9 54lb 4oz
2nd Adrian Holland peg 3 48lb
3rd Alex Bradley peg 13 45lb 10oz
Biggest fish Tony Jose 10 lb 8oz

For Tree:
1st Andy Dare peg 2 68lb 10oz
2nd Mike O’Gorman peg 9 49lb 10oz and biggest fish 5lb
3rd Chris Symons peg 4 38lb 4oz

Match Results Sunday 7th July 2016

For today’s match we had 10 fishing and I decided to peg 2 sections on both lakes. Both lakes produced good weights, with some close results:
Heron lake:
1st John Maundrell peg 5 76lb 8oz and biggest fish 6lb 14oz
2nd Tony Jose peg 19 71lb 6oz
3rd Mike O Gorman peg 15 63lb 7oz
Fir tree pond:

Match Results Sunday 31st July 2016

Sunday’s open was fished on Heron Lake as we had a match on Fir tree pond on Saturday. I don’t like to complain when the weathers good but the hot, bright, sunny conditions made it a bit harder than usual. It looks like peg 3 has become the new flyer! here are the results:

Match Results Sunday 14th July

Another good turn out for today’s open despite the poor weather this morning and with 10 fishing on heron lake the £100 bonus was up for grabs, but as we had a club match on Saturday as well I thought it was probably safe!! Here are the results:

2nd Alex Bradley peg 17 67lb 2oz
3rd John Maundrell peg 5 54lb 8oz
4th Neil Hodder peg 20 45lb

Paul Glandville won biggest fish today with a ghost carp of 12lb 6oz

Alex Bradley won on Saturday with 82lb from peg 14

I had a smashing time today, breaking a top kit in 2 places! But another lovely days fishing with a great bunch of lads. Thanks to everyone who came and well done to Tony, again!!
