Mid Week Match Result Wednesday 28th September

We had a mid week open today on Heron lake. We had 5 fishing and I was happy with drawing peg 15 until I got there and saw the breeze running through it, I wasn’t expecting to catch much! As it turns out I had fish at 5 metres nearly all day and didn’t really need to look anywhere else. I was sat opposite Roger Baker who was on peg 5 and could see he was catching and some were a better stamp. We had a good close match until the end. Here are the results:

2 Day Festival Result

This weekend was our 2 day festival and I think the weather had a big part to play. Saturday was very windy making presentation difficult for most, whilst Sunday was still, warm and sunny which definitely helped. Some decent weights were had both days, but the result of the weekend had to be Alex Bradley’s new lake record on Fir Tree of 79lb 2oz, who also fished a faultless 2 days. Here are the results:

Match Result Sunday 17th August

Today’s match was fished in bright sunshine today but after a week of cold wind and heavy showers all the carp wanted to do was bask in the sun. Weights were well down but well spread. Nigel Hicks drew the golden peg on his first visit, he didn’t manage the win but picked up a section win, so £21 rolls over to the next open. Here are the results:

Alex started on 6mm pellet to the far bank and changed to corn through the match. Well done Alex on the win and thanks to everyone who came.

Match Results Sunday 10th September

We had 10 fishing the open today on heron lake so we paid top 2 overall and 2 section winners. Anglers were well spread and so were the weights. The Golden peg was reset so there was £10 in the pot and peg 1 was drawn, Adrian Holland drew it and fancied it, but when he got there and saw the wind blowing out of it I think he knew it wouldn’t produce today. Chris Symons is continuing to draw well by pulling inform peg 5 from the bag and he fished it well for another win, here are the results:

Chris caught mostly at 13m towards the island on 6mm fishery pellet, well done Chris on another win.

I was pleased with catching 44lb 6oz from peg 20, especially as I missed the first half of the match to watch my son play his first football match of the season which was well worth it as they won 8-1
