Match Results Sunday 12th June

We had a good turnout for today’s open which was fished on Heron Lake and with 8 of us fishing the £100 bonus was up for grabs! Alex Bradley drew first and pulled peg 5 from the bag and after Adrian Holland’s result from that peg last week I was worried I was going to be down £100 by the end of the day! But fishing was a bit harder than usual, which I think is due to the unsettled weather that we have over us at the moment. Having said that some good weights were had but fishing was patchy. Here are the results:

1st Chris Symons (pictured) peg 3 69lb 2oz
2nd Mike O Gorman peg 9 63lb 8oz
3rd Alex Bradley peg 5 43lb 12oz and biggest fish prize 9lb 9oz
4th John Maundrell peg 19 38lb 9oz

Chris fished at 13 metres to the lily pad at the edge of the island. He fished pellet on the deck and shallow for his catch.

Today’s Match Results

Today’s match was fished on Heron Lake and some good weights were had even though some of the bigger fish weren’t caught. I had another trip in the boat to retrieve a pole during the match but won’t mention who’s it was!!! Here are the results:
1st Adrian Holland (Pictured top) peg 5 87lb 2oz
2nd John Maundrell (Pictured bottom) peg 1 61lb 14oz and biggest fish 5lb 6oz
3rd Tony Jose peg 13 56lb 8oz
4th Neil Hodder peg 19 55lb

Aide fish pellet waggler all day to the island for his catch. Well done Aide.

Today’s Open Result and New Lake Record

Had a great open today fishing in beautiful, warm sunshine. The Carp we’re spawning in Heron Lake so we fished on Fir Tree Pond. Alex Bradley (Pictured) drew peg 11, he had a good moan, but I knew he would do well and although the stamp of fish he caught was small, he set a new record for the lake (That’s both lakes he now holds the record for!) Here are the results:

1st Alex Bradley Peg 11 72lb 15oz
2nd Aide Holland Peg 15 64lb 6oz
3rd Neil Hodder Peg 4 58lb 4oz and biggest fish bonus with 4lb Mirror Carp

Match Result Sunday 22nd May

Sunday’s match was fished on Heron Lake and although Alex had a good weight it fished a bit iffy, I think that the carp may have something else on their minds other than feeding!! Here are the results:

  2. Aide Holland Peg 19 29lb 8oz

Alex tried a few different lines and tactics but found that corn and pellet down the edge was the most productive on the day. Well done Alex.

Our open on Sunday 15th May had a good turn out. It was a beautiful, warm day and we fished on Heron Lake with some goods weight had. Here are the results:
